Frodsham Beer Festival

Last year our Lift a Buttercup scooped Beer of the Festival so its a tough task to come up with something just as good for this year. We're pretty happy with what we've just squeezed out so fingers (and legs) crossed that it proves popular.

To find out what the beer is you'll just have to get along to the festival. It will be held on April 11 and 12 at the Community Centre on Fluin Lane.

For more details of this cracking festival, please check out the Frodsham Beer Festival website

Family Mahone's 10th Anniversary

Unbelievably, this raggle-taggle bunch of ne'er do wells have now lasted 10 years in the business without their livers packing in. To celebrate they are having an anniversary gig at Telford's Warehouse in Chester on Sunday March 16th.

We will be supplying 4 casks of a special anniversary Mahone Brew recipe so even the band can't drink all that lot dry.

For more details see Telford's Warehouse and The Family Mahone

Booking early is well advised as it will sell out very quickly.

Carlton Tavern Beer Festival

The Carlton Tavern in Handbridge is having a beer festival over the weekend starting February 29th.

It is a pleasure to have been asked to supply two ales for this popular event. Landlord Chris has asked for a light hoppy one and a darker stronger one.

The Gents will be providing the following -

Carlton No 1 3.8% abv, pale, hoppy and very bitter
Carlton No 2 4.8% abv, well-balanced fruity ruby ale

Fleetwood Beer Festival

In a radical step for the WC, we are soon to make our debut up in t'Lancashire.
A cask of IP Ale will be on at the Fleetwood Beer Festival from 14th - 16th February at the Marine Hall.
Having been there in the past we can vouch for it being a cracking fezza and well worth visiting.

Tarporley Beer Festival

We will be supplying a new brew to the second Tarporley Beer Festival later this month.
The event will be held on 25th and 26th January at the Community Centre, High Street, Tarporley.
Email alankdurbin@hotmail.com for further details of the event.

The brew is called Tarporley Tinkle and is a very quaffable 4.0%. This is a delicate lager-style brew to hopefully entice some enlightened punters off lager and onto real ale.
